What is this?
ConnectMTAT is a Garry's Mod Trouble in Terrorist Town 2 server (generally referred to as TTT). We're considering expanding into other games, but for now, we just run the TTT server.

What is Trouble in Terrorist Town?
TTT is a social deduction game in which the innocent terrorists must figure out who the secret traitors are in the town, before they kill the innocents. While the traitors are vastly outnumbered, they have access to a variety of gadgets that make them a true danger to the innocents.
TTT is a silly game where the main goal, besides winning with your team, is for everyone to have fun.
How do I actually play?
While there are a lot of roles in TTT, the majority of them are variants of either the Innocent or the Traitor. At round start, an info box will appear for a few seconds giving a brief overview of your assigned role. If you're having trouble still, just ask someone either in Stoat, or in game. People will always be willing to help.

Innocent
In the majority of rounds, you'll be an innocent terrorist. Your goal is to keep yourself and as many of your fellow innocents alive, and to find and kill the traitors.
Your first goal, once the round starts, should be to find a gun, and ammo for it. There'll be many scattered around the map. Now, once you have a weapon, don't just start killing people! This is a deduction game, not a deathmatch, so you should be making an effort to truly figure out if someone's a traitor, before you start trying to kill them.
Now, just start wandering around! Chat with people, explore the map, and try and figure out who's acting shady. Did two players walk off together, and only one came back? Consider looking around to see if you can find the missing one, something might've happened to them.
If you're alone, try to find a group of players. It can be difficult for a single traitor to take on several people at once.
There's no "right" way to play innocent, so have fun with it.
Traitor
The goal of the traitors is to kill every innocent in the town, before they kill you. Before you do anything else, review who else in the town is a traitor in the tab menu. They'll be highlighted in red. You can talk to these teammates through team text chat, which is bound to u by default.
Next, try to find a gun, just like the innocents. It's generally suspicious to be one of the only people in the town that's just standing around unarmed.
Once you've done that, explore the traitor shop, which is bound to your suit key, which is c by default. There'll be a variety of weapons, traps, and support items to help you stay alive and fight the innocents. You'll likely notice that everything in the shop has a credit cost. You spawn with a few credits to start, but you'll get more as you kill more innocents.
Now that you've bought a few things, coordinate with your fellow traitors to try and kill off the innocents, without getting caught.
How to connect
You need to be on the server's allow-list to join MTAT. We're open to players of all experience levels, the allow-list is just in place to keep out low effort trolls and fascists. Send us a join request with the form below. You can add as much or as little detail as you want.
If you want to predownload the workshop content for the server prior to joining, you can subscribe to the collection on Steam.
For the time being, you need Garry's Mod in your Steam library in order to join the server. This is a technical limitation that we seek to overcome soon. If you think you can help us, please reach out.
Once you're approved, direct connect to the server by running connect mtat.quest:30750 in the game's console, or click here to connect via Steam.
Please find your steamID with steamid.io or a similar tool, and put it in the form along with a short explanation of why you're interested in joining (at most 2048 characters).
